No matter what happened, the words would fight their way out, today.
He didn't know whom, or how on Earth they'd ever be able to get over it once he'd told them, but he was going to tell someone.
Strangely enough, he finds that the relentless pool of doubt that usually spilled over his intentions and thoughts, had been sucked dry. There wasn't a single drop of it left to talk sense into his mind about what the consequences of his decision would be. This wasn't the first time it had done this to him, once before, just as he sealed the fate of another, his hesitation had deserted him.
At first, it had worked to save him from sin, after that, it worked to keep his life intact. It had drowned a terrible secret to its depths, but now that it had been drained, that one secret glared up at him into his minds eye, projecting itself so angrily that it kept him awake at night.
